36. ସଠାରୁେ ଜଣେ ଲୋକ ଦୌଡିଯାଇ ଅମ୍ଳରସ ରେ ଭିଜାଇଥିବା ଗୋଟିଏ ସ୍ପଞ୍ଜ ଆଣିଲା। ସ୍ପଞ୍ଜକୁ ଗୋଟିଏ ବାଡି ରେ ବାନ୍ଧିଲା। ଯୀଶୁ ସ୍ପଞ୍ଜରୁ ଅମ୍ଳରସ ପିଇବେ ବୋଲି ସେ ବାଡିର ସ୍ପଞ୍ଜ ବନ୍ଧା ହାଇେଥିବା ପାଖଟି ତାହାଙ୍କ ଆଡକୁ ବଢାଇଲା। ଲୋକଟି କହିଲା, "ଏବେ ଆମ୍ଭେ ଅପେକ୍ଷା କରିବା ଏବଂ ଏଲିୟ ଆସି ତାକୁ କୃଶ ଉପରୁ ତଳକୁ ନବୋକୁ ଆସୁଛନ୍ତି କି ନାହିଁ, ଦେଖିବା।"
