16. ସେ ତାଙ୍କୁ ଏହି କଥା କହିବା ବେଳେ, ରାଜା ତାହାକୁ କହିଲେ, ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ କʼଣ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ରାଜମନ୍ତ୍ରୀ କରିଅଛୁ? ନିରସ୍ତ ହୁଅ; କାହିଁକି ମାଡ଼ ଖାଇବ? ଏଥିରେ ଭବିଷ୍ୟଦ୍ବକ୍ତା ନିରସ୍ତ ହୋଇ କହିଲା, ମୁଁ ଜାଣେ, ପରମେଶ୍ଵର ଆପଣଙ୍କୁ ବିନାଶ କରିବା ପାଇଁ ସ୍ଥିର କରିଅଛନ୍ତି, କାରଣ ଆପଣ ଏହା କରିଅଛନ୍ତି ଓ ମୋʼ ପରାମର୍ଶରେ କର୍ଣ୍ଣପାତ କରି ନାହାନ୍ତି ।

Then the prophet forbare, and said, I know that God hath determined to destroy thee, because thou hast done this, and hast not hearkened unto my counsel.
