9:23. ଅବୀମଲକେ ୟିରକ୍ସ୍ଟଦ୍ଦାଲଙ୍କର ସତକ୍ସ୍ଟରି ଜଣ ପକ୍ସ୍ଟତ୍ରଙ୍କକ୍ସ୍ଟ ହତ୍ଯା କଲେ, ଯେଉଁମାନେ ତାଙ୍କର ନିଜର ଭାଇ ଥିଲେ। ଶିଖିମର ନତେୃବର୍ଗ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲର ଭୂଲ କାର୍ୟ୍ଯ କରିବା ରେ ସମର୍ଥନ ଦେଲେ।

9:23. God sent a spirit to stir up hostility between Abimelech and the leaders of Shechem. He made the leaders of Shechem disloyal to Abimelech.

9:23. Abimelech had killed Jerub Baal's (Gideon) 70 sons—and they were his own brothers. The leaders of Shechem had supported him in doing this evil thing. So God caused trouble between Abimelech and the leaders of Shechem. And they began planning ways to hurt Abimelech.
