12:2. ୟିଲ୍ଗହ ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ଉତ୍ତର ଦେଲେ, "ଅେମ୍ମାନୀୟମାନଙ୍କ ସହିତ ମାରେ ଓ ମାରେ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କର ବଡ ବିବାଦ ଥିଲା। ତେଣୁ ମୁ ମାରେ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ସହିତ ସମାନଙ୍କେ ବିରକ୍ସ୍ଟଦ୍ଧ ରେ ୟକ୍ସ୍ଟଦ୍ଧ କଲି। ମୁ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଡାକିଥିଲି କିନ୍ତୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ଆସିଲ ନାହିଁ।

12:2. Jephthah said to them, "My people and I were entangled in controversy with the Ammonites. I asked for your help, but you did not deliver me from their power.

12:2. Jephthah replied, "I summoned you at the beginning of the dispute, but you refused to come! You failed to help us in our struggle against Ammon.

12:2. And Jephthah said unto them, I and my people were at great strife with the children of Ammon; and when I called you, ye saved me not out of their hand.
