2:16. ଏବଂ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ତାହାକୁ କହୁଛ, "ପରମେଶ୍ବର ତୁମ୍ଭ ସହିତ ଥାଆନ୍ତୁ ! ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଉଷ୍ମ ରୁହ ଓ ଖାଇବାକୁ ପ୍ରଚୁର ପାଅ।" ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଏଗୁଡ଼ିକ ବିଷୟ ରେ ଖାଲି କହୁଛ, କିନ୍ତୁ ତାହାର ଆବଶ୍ଯକ ଥିବା ଜିନିଷ ତାହାକୁ ଦେଉ ନାହଁ। ଯଦି ତୁମ୍ଭେ ତାହାକୁ ସାହାୟ୍ଯ କରୁ ନାହଁ, ତାହାହେଲେ ତୁମ୍ଭର କଥାଗୁଡ଼ିକ ସମ୍ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ମୂଲ୍ଯହୀନ ଅଟେ।

2:16. and one of you says to them, "Go in peace, keep warm and eat well," but you do not give them what the body needs, what good is it?

2:16. and you say, "Good-bye and have a good day; stay warm and eat well"-- but then you don't give that person any food or clothing. What good does that do?

2:16. and one of you say unto them, Go in peace, be ye warmed and filled; and yet ye give them not the things needful to the body; what doth it profit?

2:16. and one of you says to them, "Go in peace, be warmed and filled," without giving them the things needed for the body, what good is that?

2:16. And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what [doth it] profit?

2:16. and one of you says to them, "Go in peace, be warmed and filled," without giving them the things needed for the body, what does it profit?

2:16. and one of you say unto them, Go in peace, be ye warmed and filled; and yet ye give them not the things needful to the body; what doth it profit?

2:16. and any one of you may say to them, `Depart ye in peace, be warmed, and be filled,` and may not give to them the things needful for the body, what [is] the profit?

2:16. And you say to them, "God be with you! I hope you stay warm and get plenty to eat," but you don't give them the things they need. If you don't help them, your words are worthless.
