2:2. ଯଦି ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ଶୁଣ ଯେ, ପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର ସହେି ଦିନଟି ଆସିଗଲାଣି, ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ଚିନ୍ତା ରେ ସହଜ ରେ ବିବ୍ରତ ହାଇେ ଯାଅ ନାହିଁ କି ଭୟ କର ନାହିଁ। କେତଜେଣ ଏହାକୁ କୌଣସି ଭବିଷ୍ଯତ୍ ବାଣୀ ବା କୌଣସି ସମ୍ବାଦ ବୋଲି କହି ପାରନ୍ତି, କିମ୍ବା କେତକେ ଲୋକ ଏହାକୁ ଆମ୍ଭର ଏକ ଚିଠି ବୋଲି କହି ପାରନ୍ତି ଓ ଦାବି କରିପାରନ୍ତି ଯେ, ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ଦ୍ବାରା ଏହି ପତ୍ର ଲଖାଯାେଇଅଛି।

2:2. not to be easily shaken from your composure or disturbed by any kind of spirit or message or letter allegedly from us, to the effect that the day of the Lord is already here.

2:2. Don't be so easily shaken or alarmed by those who say that the day of the Lord has already begun. Don't believe them, even if they claim to have had a spiritual vision, a revelation, or a letter supposedly from us.

2:2. to the end that ye be not quickly shaken from your mind, nor yet be troubled, either by spirit, or by word, or by epistle as from us, as that the day of the Lord is just at hand;
