1:2. ପରମେଶ୍ବର, ଏହି ସୁସମାଚ଼ାର ନିଜ ଲୋକଙ୍କୁ ଦବୋ ପାଇଁ ବହୁ ଆଗରୁ ପ୍ରତିଜ୍ଞା କରିଥିଲେ। ପରମେଶ୍ବର ନିଜ ଭବିଷ୍ଯଦ୍ବକ୍ତାମାନଙ୍କୁ ବ୍ଯବହାର କରି ଏହି ପ୍ରତିଜ୍ଞା କରିଥିଲେ। ସହେି ପ୍ରତିଜ୍ଞା ପବିତ୍ର ଶାସ୍ତ୍ର ରେ ଲଖାେ ହାଇେଛି।
