2:34. ତା'ପରେଶିମିଯୋନ ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ଆଶୀର୍ବାଦ କଲେ ଓ ମରିୟମଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, "ଏ ବାଳକ ୟୋଗୁଁ ଅନକେ ଯିହୂଦୀଙ୍କର ଉତ୍ଥାନ ଓ ପତନ ହବେ। ସେ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କର ଏକ ଚିହ୍ନ ହବେେ ଓ ତାହା ଲୋକମାନେ ଗ୍ରହଣ କରିବେ ନାହିଁ।

2:34. Then Simeon blessed them and said to his mother Mary, "Listen carefully: This child is destined to be the cause of the falling and rising of many in Israel and to be a sign that will be rejected.

2:34. Then Simeon blessed them, and he said to Mary, the baby's mother, "This child is destined to cause many in Israel to fall, but he will be a joy to many others. He has been sent as a sign from God, but many will oppose him.
