18:14. ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ କହୁଛି, 'ଏହି ଲୋକଟି ଯେତବେେଳେ ତା'ର ପ୍ରାର୍ଥନା ଶଷେ କରି ତା' ଘରକୁ ଫରେିଗଲା, ସେ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ଦୃଷ୍ଟି ରେ ଧାର୍ମିକ ପରିଗଣତ ହେଲା। କିନ୍ତୁ ଯେଉଁ ଫାରୂଶୀ ଅନୁଭବ କଲା ଯେ ସେ ଅନ୍ୟ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ଅପେକ୍ଷା ଭଲ ଲୋକ , ସେ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି ବିଶ୍ବସ୍ତ ନଥିଲା। ଯେଉଁ ଲୋକ ନିଜକୁ ନିଜେ ମହାନ ବୋଲି ଭାବେ, ତାକୁ ହୀନ କରି ଦିଆୟିବ, କିନ୍ତୁ ଯେଉଁ ଲୋକ ନିଜକୁ ହୀନ କରି ଦିଏ ତାକୁ ମହାନ କରାୟିବ।"'

18:14. I tell you that this man went down to his home justified rather than the Pharisee. For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, but he who humbles himself will be exalted."

18:14. I tell you, this sinner, not the Pharisee, returned home justified before God. For those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted."
