6:26. ରାଜା େ ହରୋଦ ବହୁତ ଦୁଃଖ କଲେ। କିନ୍ତୁ ସେ ଝିଅର ଇଚ୍ଛା ଅନୁସାରେ ଦାନ ଦବୋକୁ ଶପଥ କି ସାରିଥିଲେ। ସଠାେରେ େ ହରୋଦଙ୍କ ସହିତ ଖାଉଥିବା ଅତିଥିମାନେ ମଧ୍ଯ ହରେୋଦଙ୍କ ଶପଥ ବିଷୟ ରେ ଶୁଣି ସାରିଥିଲେ। ତେଣୁ ଝିଅ ଯାହା ମାଗିଥିଲା, ତାହା ଦବୋ ପାଇଁ ହରେୋଦ ମନା କରିବାକୁ ଇଚ୍ଛା କଲେ ନାହିଁ।

6:26. Although it grieved the king deeply, he did not want to reject her request because of his oath and his guests.

6:26. Then the king deeply regretted what he had said; but because of the vows he had made in front of his guests, he couldn't refuse her.
